“Resilience and Well-being of Ukrainian Media Professionals at Wartime” (ReWell-UMedia)

Kyiv, Ukraine — In response to the extraordinary challenges faced by media professionals during the full-scale war, a large-scale initiative is being launched in Ukraine to support one of the key sectors of a democratic society — journalism.

The project "Resilience and Well-being of Ukrainian

Media Professionals at Wartime" (ReWell-UMedia) will provide Ukrainian journalists, editors, and media teams with essential tools for psychosocial support and professional recovery amid prolonged stress and constant threats.

This initiative is critically important, as it aims not only to help restore the internal resources of media professionals but also to sustain the high quality of Ukrainian journalism as an indispensable element of a functioning democratic society.

Key Areas of the ReWell-UMedia Project

The project offers a comprehensive support package designed to strengthen the resilience of media professionals:

Psychosocial Support

Trainings and individual consultations on psychological resilience and working with traumatic experiences. Programs focused on preventing and overcoming professional burnout caused by prolonged exposure to stress factors.

Professional Capacity Building

Educational activities and practical tools on crisis communication and safety in the context of armed conflict. Analytical materials addressing the changes and challenges faced by the media sector during wartime.

Implementation and Partnership

The project "Resilience and Well-being of Ukrainian Media Professionals at Wartime" (ReWell-UMedia) is implemented by the NGO Social Perspective. This initiative has been made possible with the support of the UNESCO's Participation Programme, in coordination with the Ukrainian National Commission for UNESCO and the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine.
