During September-December 2020, the NGO "Social Perspective" implemented the project "SuperMama" with the support of the Representative Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine. Under the terms of the project, 40 women raising children with disabilities were involved in webinars with the participation of the best trainers on inclusion and gender equality in Belarus, Ukraine, and Georgia.

What is this project about?

The project "SuperMama: return to social life" arose as an international idea to help active mothers cope with difficult life circumstances. So it's about a woman, a mother, and her attitude towards herself.

In the project, the public organization "Social Perspective" from Vinnytsia, the NGO "Inclusive Practices" (Georgia) and active public figures from Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan joined forces.

The project included 3 training seminars held online. All three seminars are united by one idea, and therefore, together with the participants, they walked the path from self-acceptance, planning further activity to returning to femininity, the joy of motherhood, and dwelling on deep trauma.

In 2021, the project received its sequel "SuperMama 2", thanks to the support of the Representative Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine.

This series of trainings was dedicated to a woman and her emotions, learning to understand oneself and interact with the environment.

Under the terms of the project, a group of 30 mothers raising children with disabilities was formed, and two practical online training seminars were held for them:

on February 23, women got to know each other and talked about their needs, as well as emotional burnout;

On March 4, we worked for 2 hours with a specialist-practitioner from Georgia, Nargiz Yeldinbayeva, at the webinar: "SuperMama 2: Survival Guide" with the support of FES-Ukraine.

As part of the project, a webinar was also held jointly with the Vinnytsia Institute of the University "Ukraine": "How to continue studying at a higher education institution?" for college graduates.
