Non-Governmental Organization «Social Perspective»

(code 39973507, legal address: 21030, Ukraine, Vinnytsia, Pershotravneva St., 88 A, main SICC 94.99).

The organization has been operating on the basis of the Vinnytsia educational complex of the University "Ukraine" since August 2015. It was was founded by teachers, students, including persons with disabilities and refugees from the east of Ukraine due to russian aggression in 2014, and their parents.

The main principles and directions of the organization's activities are the protection of the rights of vulnerable population groups and assistance to those who need it. All this is reflected in the Charter of our organization.

Over many years of its activity since 2015, our public organization has successfully implemented more than 110 important social projects for our country with the involvement of tens of thousands of citizens of Ukraine. The organization has repeatedly won open contests of public associations in the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education, the IOM, the Representative Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine, the Bohdan Havrylyshyn Foundation and many others.

The aim of activity: promotion, satisfaction and protection of legitimate social, economic, creative, age-related, ecological, national and cultural interests, implementation of rights, freedoms and protection of interests of various segments of the population, including the socially vulnerable: persons with disabilities and health impairments, orphans, senior citizens, the poor, refugees, displaced persons, combatants and their family members, student youth, young professionals and scientists, small and medium-sized business entrepreneurs and others.

Main areas of activity:

• Facilitation of citizens' realization of their rights, freedoms and interests in the field of social protection of various strata of the population, including the socially vulnerable: persons with disabilities and health impairments, orphans, elderly citizens, the poor, refugees, migrants, participants in hostilities and members of their families, student youth, young professionals and scientists, small and medium-sized business entrepreneurs and others.

• Provision of organizational, legal, consulting assistance in the field of statutory activities of the Organization to members of the Organization and other persons (citizens).

• Protection of the interests of members of the Organization and other persons (citizens) in the bodies of state power and management, local self-government in the manner prescribed by current legislation.

• Facilitating the creation of conditions for the legal protection of the interests of citizens in the field of social protection of various segments of the population, including the socially vulnerable: persons with disabilities and health impairments, orphans, elderly citizens, the poor, refugees, migrants, participants in hostilities and members of their families, student youth, young professionals and scientists, entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized businesses and others.

• Promotion of the permanent physical and spiritual development of the population, economic and social progress of society, as well as the establishment of Ukraine's international authority in the world community.

• Promoting the development of international cooperation in the field of social protection of various segments of the population, including in the field of European integration.

• Promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

• Promoting the development of a democratic society.

• Promoting the development of gender equality.

• Protection, advisory and various kinds of assistance and support for the interests and realization of the rights of women car enthusiasts.

• Provision of social services to persons who are in difficult life circumstances and cannot overcome them on their own, in particular, assistance and provision of psychological support, assistance in organizing interaction with various services, organizations, enterprises, bodies, establishments, institutions, etc.; training and education, including implementation of educational programs, provision of information on issues of social protection of the population, etc.

 Use of innovative approaches in our activities

All projects of our public organization are aimed at solving specific problems of society through the involvement of a wide range of experts and the dissemination of best innovative practices.

So, for example, with the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic and the transition of learning to a distance mode, which became a big challenge for the entire education industry, we immediately responded to this challenge and decided to help our colleagues in education to set up the distance learning process, especially if there are children in the class with special educational needs.

We successfully implemented the project "Webinar series for educators "Inclusive learning and distance education".

The project helped to solve the problem of the low quality of educational services during the period of mass transition to distance learning, especially for students with special educational needs studying in classes with inclusive education in general educational institutions and institutions of pre-professional higher education and created a distance course for 30 hours. In each of our projects, we share innovative methods and approaches to solving current and urgent problems of society and an inclusive environment.

 

Access to the organization's projects for people from the category of vulnerable population groups

n our projects and events, the barrier-free principle is always ensured (each event is provided by the work of a sign language interpreter, we reformat materials for people with visual impairments with the subsequent possibility of applying special programs to them), etc. In the case of offline work, we choose premises with a universal, barrier-free design, for unhindered access to them for low-income segments of the population.

2016-2018 years

In 2016, the Vinnytsia Regional Forum of Educators was initiated and held, which united the efforts of about 100 delegates - representatives of educational institutions of various levels.

In 2017, a grant of UAH 21,000 was received from the NGO "CrimeaSOS" for the creation of the Rehabilitation Center for war participants, internally displaced persons and persons with disabilities, which operates on the basis of the Vinnytsia Institute of the University "Ukraine".

In 2018, a grant of UAH 5,000 was received from the Bohdan Havrylyshyn Foundation for the implementation of a project to support the creative activity of families raising children with disabilities.

On October 23, 2018, our public organization held the first Women's Forum of Vinnytsia region, which was attended by more than 200 women-delegates - representatives of various organizations and political forces.

Year 2020

On June 25, 2020, "ECO Forum Vinnytsia 2020" gathered more than 100 eco-activists from Vinnytsia.

 

 

During 2015-2021, more than 100 training seminars were initiated and held for educational institutions from all regions of Ukraine on issues of social inclusion, the implementation of inclusive education and other aspects of the implementation of inclusion in social practice.

During 2019-2020, this initiative also reached an international level. Relevant training seminars were held for educational institutions in Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, and Bulgaria.

 

Topics of seminars for educational institutions on the implementation of inclusion, organized by the NGO "Social Perspective":

2. The best inclusive practices in the educational space of Ukraine.

4. The experience of the USA in the implementation of inclusive education.
5. Organization of inclusive education in educational institutions of Ukraine.

7. Evaluation and effective tasks in distance learning conditions.
8. Ukrainian experience of implementing inclusive education, etc.

During September-December 2020, the NGO "Social Perspective" implemented the project "SuperMama" (https://youtu.be/4Z9ks9Q5Itk) with the support of the Representative Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine. Under the terms of the project, 40 women raising children with special educational needs were involved in webinars with the participation of the best trainers on inclusion and gender equality in Belarus, Ukraine, and Georgia.

 

During October - December 2020, the NGO "Social Perspective" implemented the all-Ukrainian project "Series of Webinars for Educators "Inclusive learning and distance education" (https://invak.info/obuchenie/vinnichani-stvorili-bezkoshtovnij-onlajn-kurs-dlya-osvityan-inklyuziya-i-distancijna-osvita.html)., which became one of the winners of the first public competition for projects of public associations of persons with disabilities to receive funding from the Fund for Social Protection of the Disabled with the support of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. The project solves the problem of low-quality educational services for students with disabilities studying in classes with inclusive education in general educational institutions and institutions of pre-professional higher education in the conditions of distance education.

 

The key results of the project are as follows:

In total, 6,327 people from the number of employees of educational institutions and 112 people from the number of parents of children with special needs were interviewed. An analytical report was prepared based on the results of a survey on the needs and possible difficulties of employees of educational institutions regarding the implementation of inclusive education in conditions of remote access.

Prepared "Methodical recommendations for the organization of training of students with special educational needs in distance learning conditions" in the format of presentation materials PDF (95 pages), published on the official page of the NGO "Social Perspective", promoted in Viber communities with a total reach of more than 7,000 people, sent to 1,400 recipients from the number of education workers of various levels of accreditation, as well as to all departments of education and science in all regions of Ukraine.

A practical webinar for parents was held, 112 parents of children with SEN were involved in the webinar from all regions of Ukraine.

A distance course for 30 hours has been created. http://sp.inclusion.tilda.ws/ The course is distributed on the official page of the NGO "Social Perspective" on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/socialperspevtiv, in Viber communities with a total reach of more than 7,000 people, sent to 1,400 recipients from among education workers of various levels of accreditation, as well as to all departments of education and science in all regions of Ukraine.

As of January 27, the course was viewed by 10,048 unique visitors, of which 2,142 employees of educational institutions registered as course participants, 1,603 of them viewed the course and fulfilled all certification conditions.

Year 2021

During August - December 2021, the NGO "Social Perspective" implemented the all-Ukrainian project: "Academy of Effective Solutions" http://sp.inclusion.tilda.ws/aer ,

 

The project was implemented as part of the implementation of the budget program for 2021 of the Ministry of Social Policy 2507020 "Financial support of public associations of persons with disabilities".

 

Key results of the project:

• A bank of project ideas for NGOs of people with disabilities has been developed based on the needs of the environment and best foreign practices.
• An expert group of representatives of NGOs of persons with disabilities was formed.
• The potential of key NGOs of persons with disabilities to solve current environmental problems has been networked.
• The society and persons with disabilities themselves were informed about the key problems of the development of NGOs of persons with disabilities .
• A general strategy for the development of the direction has been created, which can form the basis of the state regulatory policy in the field of social protection.

 

 

As part of the project, we conducted an analytical study "Needs of public organizations dealing with the problems of disability and social inclusion" and prepared an analytical report based on its results. 20 hours of online meetings were held in the form of webinars from the leading experts in the sector to teach public organizations of persons with disabilities the best strategies for institutional development, fundraising, crowdfunding, networking, and the involvement of all possible information and material resources.

A number of informational and educational activities were carried out to strengthen the institutional capacity of at least 70 NGOs of persons with disabilities.

Including separately, within the framework of this project and the All-Ukrainian action "16 days against violence", an online co-working was held: "Public organizations of persons with disabilities and problems of combating violence in Ukraine", which was attended by more than 100 people.

A distance course for 30 hours has been prepared, based on the materials of the information events. The course helps to put into practice the ideas of civil society development and the implementation of democratic values, principles of accessibility and inclusiveness in all spheres of public life.

For more than 7 years of its activity, the NGO has become a partner in many grant projects related to education, gender issues, social inclusion and protection of the rights of people with disabilities.

 

 

Year 2022

On February 24, 2022, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, we joined the work of the International Headquarters for Aid to Ukrainians, in which a psychological assistance group has been operating since the first days of the war, and we have another goal - to help save as many lives in Ukraine as possible.

Many large charitable organizations and many governments provide aid to Ukraine. However, due to the scale of their operations and high overhead costs, these efforts are often slow, ineffective and expensive.

We collect funds and cooperate with charitable organizations and volunteers from Lithuania, Poland, Great Britain and the USA in order to directly provide equipment and humanitarian aid to those who need it most: servicemen of separate brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, evacuated children, internally displaced persons, territorial defense, medical facilities, shelters, etc.

The NGO "Social Perspective" is registered in the Unified Register of Volunteer Organizations by the National Social Service Service of Ukraine in accordance with Clause 3 of Article 3 of Law No. 3236-VI and published on the official website of the National Social Service (https://nssu.gov.ua, section "Volunteering") under No. 709.

It was also our initiative to collect books in the Ukrainian language for children who were evacuated abroad because of the war in Ukraine. As of August 2022, we have delivered more than 2,500 books to Poland, Lithuania, Great Britain, Romania, the Czech Republic, Germany and Hungary, Austria. Twice, television stories were filmed about us in the news of the National News Telethon.

We continue to engage in charitable and volunteer activities, but we also organize and participate in socially significant projects during 2022:

On June 6, Head of the Council of the NGO "Social Perspective" Dr. Prof. Hanna Davydenko gave a speech during the International Conference on Inclusion in Rzeszów, Poland.

 

On June 23, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference was held online on the "Social Perspective" educational platform: "A new scientific and educational space with a view to improving the quality of specialist training in institutions of higher and professional pre-higher education".

There were discussed such topics as:

From the experience of implementing inclusive education: from theory to practice.

Inclusive educational environment and accessibility in the educational process.

Among the organizers: the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, SSI "Institute of Modernization of the Content of Education", Vinnytsia Institute of the University "Ukraine" NGO "Social Perspective", State University "Scientific and Methodological Center of Higher and Professional Pre-Higher Education", Department of Education and Science of the Rivne Regional State Administration, Department of Education and Science of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, the Board of Directors of Vocational Pre-Higher Education Institutions of the Rivne Oblast, as well as higher education institutions and vocational pre-higher education institutions from all over Ukraine, in particular from Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Chernivtsi.

"INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT AND ACCESSIBILITY IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS" (trainer Olena Omelchenko).

But special attention was paid to the issue of the work of educational institutions under martial law.

In general, more than 140 participants from different regions of Ukraine joined the work, mainly from the number of employees of professional pre-higher and higher education institutions.

On July 26-28, in online format, together with the Vinnytsia Institute of the University "Ukraine", NGO "Social perspective" held a series of free webinars dedicated to the most relevant issues for 2022 today for IDP, namely:

• overcoming the language barrier (NO surzhyk! Only fluent Ukrainian);
• assistance to internally displaced persons: legal aspects;
• life hacks for job search techniques for IDP;
• psychological aspects of overcoming stress, anxiety, burnout.

During the classes, the participants received:

• thorough theoretical knowledge and practical skills;
• interesting and informative exercises to consolidate the theory;
• individual approach to each listener;
• free communication;
• a friendly atmosphere and a charge of motivation for your further personal development.

 

 

On August 19, the Project: "SUPPORTING WOMEN-LED INITIATIVES DURING WARTIME IN UKRAINE" was launched, organized by the Ukrainian Women's Democratic Network in partnership with USAID Ukraine - USAID Ukraine, the International Republican Institute - IRI Ukraine. The NGO "Social perspective" implements a program within this project which is called "A WOMAN IN WARTIME: A VOLUNTEER, A LEADER".

The program is implemented for Ukrainian women from all corners of Ukraine as well for women-refugees, who temporarily found shelter abroad. This is a support program for women from all over Ukraine: public activists, deputies, representatives of local government organizations, who are actively involved in volunteering in wartime conditions. Duration of the program: within 5 months. The participants are selected in accordance with the terms of the program. They take part in 8 webinars and receive constant support from practical psychologists, PhD.

45 selected participants will be able to: 

• learn to overcome stress;
• work with their emotions, negative states, tension;
• receive psychological self-help skills;
• create and become a part of the volunteer network;
• get to know each other and find the necessary contacts;
• share positive experiences of volunteering with other participants and receive support for activities.
