On 29 January 2026, a workshop titled: "Wellbeing and Resilience of Women in the Media Sector: Gender-Responsive Solutions at Wartime"
was held in Kyiv. The event brought together media professionals to engage in an in-depth discussion on the challenges faced by women in the media sector and to explore practical, sustainable, and gender-responsive solutions.
During the workshop, participants:
- reviewed research findings incorporating a gender perspective
- discussed specific challenges faced by women working in media during wartime
- worked in groups to develop practical solutions to support wellbeing and recovery
The group work was facilitated by trainer Inna Lapchevska, who guided participants through collaborative solution-building and practical approaches to strengthening wellbeing and resilience.
The workshop provided a safe and supportive space for experience sharing, peer support, and the development of solutions applicable to real professional contexts.
The project "Resilience and Well-being of Ukrainian Media Professionals at Wartime" (ReWell-UMedia) is implemented by the NGO "Social Perspective." This initiative has been made possible with the support of UNESCO's Participation Programme, in coordination with the Ukrainian National Commission for UNESCO and the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine.
We thank the trainer and all participants for their openness, active engagement, and joint efforts to strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian media.
